KaliLinux on Raspberry Pi

For those lucky enough to be in the Dallas and 0hm class at DC24 this August, we have completed the KaliLinux build promised in the class.

The image is a g-zipped DD image.  For those who know what they are doing with it skip to the bottom of this post and download the image.  For the rest read on.

The image is a compressed DD image.  You can use the default DD tools on Mac and Linux if you would like, or there are several GUI tools available.

For OSX:
https://www.thefanclub.co.za/sites/all/modules/pubdlcnt/pubdlcnt.php?file=https://www.thefanclub.co.za/sites/default/files/public/downloads/ddutility-1.8.dmg&nid=178

You will need to place the MicroSD card in the USB reader provided during the class.  It did not recognize the SD Card reader that was provided for me (although other SD cards work, so it may be just the reader), so I would recommend against it.

Once the USB reader and MicroSD card is inserted run DD Utility and select "Restore".  Select the "Kali-0hm.img.gz" file and click "Choose", select your memory card from the picker and click "Continue".

The restore process will take some time, I am not aware of any useful progress indicator.
